Burke-Curry-Seery Branch Seisiún
Burke-Curry-Seery Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann(CCE) has begun hosting a traditional Irish seisiún (session) one Sunday a month at Hannafin’s Pub and Restaurant, 21 Rankin Road, Glastonbury, CT. The first two sessions are April 29 and May 27, then beginning in June they will regularly fall on the second Sunday of each month.
The sessions will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m., and fiddler Jeanne Freeman, our branch Vice-Chair, will host. All levels of players are welcome. On alternate months (starting on May 27) we will also showcase traditional singing by starting the session a little earlier (3:30) and featuring singers for about 45 minutes until the main session takes over. Danny Ringrose and Dan Milner, both accomplished traditional singers, have agreed to help host these song sessions. We are excited to offer a venue for traditional song. Again, all are welcome.
